Luca Baratto, twenty-nine from Trento, is the new athletic coach of Trentino Volley. After three years spent in Verona and the last two lived in the youth sector of the Company of via Trener, the trainer with a degree in Sports Science at the University of Verona, next season will firsthand the physical conditions of the champions of Diatec Trentino.
His arrival in the first team is another important and significant results collected by the Club’s nursery and at the same time a strong signal of how Trentino Volley intends increasingly to professionally grow its business and to rely on it in the most sensitive roles.
He succeeds Martin Poeder, who for personal commitments ended his seven-year experience in Yellow-blue; The Brixen will continue in any case an external collaboration with Trentino Volley, providing to Baratto and the Company his knowledge.
The volleyball career of Luca Baratto is tied hand in glove to the Yellow-blue Company: right in the youth sector had begun, even in 2000s, his career as a setter and in 2014, after a series of experiences as a player in Serie B before as coach of Verona, and then as an athletic trainer to prepare the muscles of all the junior teams. His CV contains also a summer of work (2014) with the group B of the Italian National Senior Male and the victory of two youth championships with Trentino Volley (Under-19 and Junior League in the 2014/15 season).
"I accepted right away the proposal from the leadership of Trentino Volley to make the leap into the first team: it was too tempting to reject it and will complete a process that in this Company has seen me before dressing the role of player of the Youth and then the trainer” - were the first statements of Luca Baratto after signing the contract -”.After three seasons lived in Verona with Bluvolley I was back in Trento because I wanted to work again with this club and, one day, get into the first team. I am very proud of the way I did and to be able to crown it doing my profession with the team of my city. With Lorenzetti already in the next few days we will start to program all the activity; it awaits us a busy season but the goal is to be ready for the Italian Super Cup at the end of September. I have often heard my predecessor, Martin Poeder to find a common thread between what was his work and what will be mine."
